The Role
As an HR Intern at Pharming, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within an international, dynamic and purpose-driven biotech organization. Pharming is continuously evolving, which means there is plenty of room to contribute, learn, ask questions and work on meaningful HR topics.
You will be part of the HR team and support a broad range of HR activities and projects. Depending on your interests, study requirements and stage assignment, you may work on topics such as culture, onboarding, performance management, learning & development, employee experience and organizational change.
This internship offers a combination of practical HR experience and project-based work. You will support the team in day-to-day HR activities, while also having the freedom to identify opportunities for improvement and take ownership of your own assignment. The internship can be structured as a regular internship or as a graduation assignment, including the possibility to conduct research and write your thesis.
Key Responsibilities
As an HR Intern, you will support the HR team across a variety of activities and projects. Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting daily HR operations and recurring HR processes.
- Contributing to projects related to culture, onboarding, performance management and learning & development.
- Helping to further develop and improve onboarding activities within the organization.
- Exploring opportunities to strengthen learning and development within Pharming.
- Supporting initiatives that contribute to employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
- Identifying improvement opportunities within HR processes and taking initiative to work on them.
- Preparing communication materials, documentation, presentations or practical project support.
- Conducting research for a potential graduation assignment within the HR domain.
- Collaborating with HR colleagues and stakeholders across the organization.
You will receive guidance from the HR team, while also being encouraged to take initiative, share your ideas and work independently on topics that match your development goals.
Your profile
We are looking for an enthusiastic, curious and proactive student who is eager to learn more about HR in an international organization. You enjoy working in a changing environment and are comfortable combining practical work with project-based assignments.
You recognize yourself in the following profile:
- You are currently enrolled in a relevant higher professional education programme, such as Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organizational Studies, Applied Psychology or a comparable field.
- You are preferably a third-year or fourth-year student.
- You are available to start from 1 September.
- You are looking for an internship or graduation assignment.
- You are interested in HR topics such as culture, onboarding, performance management, learning & development and organizational change.
- You are proactive, independent and not afraid to ask questions.
- You enjoy identifying opportunities for improvement and taking ownership of your work.
- You are able to switch between practical tasks and more analytical or project-based work.
- You are comfortable working in an international environment where English is the main working language.
- You have strong communication skills in English.
