Purpose of the role:

The IT Business Analyst will lead assigned initiatives, managing the full project lifecycle from requirements gathering and planning through to development, implementation, and support - across IT, including ERP and HRM and other adjacent and standalone applications across the business. The primary focus areas of this role include Finance, Procurement, HR, and Supply Chain. This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders and external partners to monitor and coordinate deliverables, ensuring seamless execution of business processes. The IT Business Analyst also provides strategic guidance on aligning functional processes with technical solutions, driving both process efficiency and project success. 

 

Areas of Responsibility:

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

  • Engage with stakeholders to identify and document business needs.
  • Analyze business processes, workflows, and systems to define requirements.
  • Collaborate with external partners to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.

Process Improvement:

  • Evaluate and suggest enhancements for existing processes.
  • Lead workshops and meetings to brainstorm and develop solutions.
  • Create models or diagrams to visualize process changes.

Solution Design:

  • Collaborate with technical teams to design solutions that align with business requirements.
  • Ensure solutions support business goals and objectives.
  • Validate that solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams and external partners.
  • Communicate project progress, issues, and solutions to stakeholders.
  • Collect and incorporate stakeholder feedback to refine requirements.

Testing and Validation:

  • Develop and manage test cases to ensure solution accuracy.
  • Coordinate with QA teams for comprehensive testing.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather user feedback.

Documentation:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including requirements, user stories, and process flows.
  • Ensure documentation is clear and accessible to both stakeholders and development teams.

Project Support:

  • Assist in project management activities, such as timeline and resource planning.
  • Support change management initiatives by providing training and guidance to stakeholders.

 

Your Profile

  • 5-8+ years of experience in a business analysis role, in an IT environment. 
  • Thorough experience with ERP Systems (e.g. SAP or similar)
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration, computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in gathering, documenting, and analyzing business requirements.
  • Experience working with technical teams to design and validate solutions.
  • Strong experience in liaising between business and IT teams, with a focus on effective communication and collaboration.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage.
