Project Manager

The Role

As Project Manager, you will oversee complex projects within Pharming’s Global Product Strategy and Clinical Development function, ensuring effective planning, execution, and monitoring of multidisciplinary initiatives, with Leiden as your primary working location,

Working closely with the Global Product Strategy Lead and Clinical Development Lead, you will coordinate cross-functional activities and drive alignment across teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and in full compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

This role is highly dynamic and hands-on, requiring a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. You bring strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and keep projects on track in a fast-paced environment


Key responsibilities:

  • A global role involving collaboration with colleagues across multiple time zones, responsible for leading project management activities for the leniolisib Integrated Product Strategy Team and Clinical Development Team. 
  • Builds connections that lead to high performing collaborative working relationships globally across the organization by utilizing strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Develop an integrated project plan across all relevant functions with overall timelines, relevant milestones and identification of interdependencies, critical path activities and associated risks and risk mitigation strategies. 
  • Along with other members of the Integrated Product Strategy Team and Clinical Development Teams, contribute to the development of programme strategy and work with the teams as required to drive projects through milestones. 
  • Contribute to the development of strategic documents and help prepare for phase transitions in collaboration with the Development Teams as required
  • Responsible for high quality and accurate project planning input into enterprise planning systems 
  • Prepare and manage the effective coordination and facilitation of cross-functional team meetings from a project management perspective (agendas, minutes, capture actions etc) 
  • Provide Project Management expertise in the areas of planning, tracking, critical path analysis, risk management and budget tracking. 
  • Prepare and present monthly reporting to team and stakeholders to show progress, results; anticipate risks and provide recommendations and solutions. 
  • Other duties as assigned.


Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management within a global pharmaceutical environment, including exposure to drug development phases.
  • PMP (or equivalent) certification strongly preferred.
  • Strong project management expertise, including planning (e.g., MS Project), resource and capacity management, tracking, scenario planning, budgeting, contingency planning, critical path analysis, and risk management.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Adaptable and able to work effectively with diverse personalities and working styles.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and persuasively engage stakeholders at all levels and across disciplines.
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage competing demands effectively.
  • Proven ability to influence subject matter experts and drive alignment.
  • Critical thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Flexibility to work across time zones, including US-based stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel to the US occasionally (approximately twice per year).
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
