Overview 

 

Reporting to Regional Business Director, the  Therapeutic Account Manager (TAM) - Ohio will  bring sales and marketing activities to HCP target audiences, Academic Institutions, Hospital Systems, and community setting for the APDS disease state. Our goal is for the TAM to identify providers managing patients where APDS may reside and educating these providers on the APDS disease state along with the value of genetic testing for a definitive diagnosis. Successful execution will involve implementation of the strategic initiatives developed by the leadership team while developing strong working relationships with all physicians/institutions within their geographic responsibility who treat patients appropriate for the APDS Disease State. Territory includes most of the state of Ohio.

 

Key Responsibilites 

 

The Therapuetic Account Manager (TAM) will be responsible for a wide variety of matters in support of Pharming’s growth as we increase the number of both pipeline and marketed products.  Core functions include:

  • Effectively penetrating IDNs and carrying out institutional selling to health care professionals working within the various Hospital/Institutional settings (i.e. IDNs., referrals, academic and/or research centers, teaching institutions).
  • Achieving area sales objectives, market penetration, new patient starts, and revenue targets on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Driving demand through clinical selling and education to referring and treating health care providers on APDS and Leniolisib/Joenja.
  • Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all key stakeholders within institutions.
  • Ensuring relationships and respectful engagement with local and regional Patient Advocacy Groups (LPA chapters) working with internal advocacy team.
  • Acting in compliance within a highly regulated industry and consistent with training, policies, guidelines, and their own best judgment while adhering to all company policies assigned to the TAM position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

 

Qualifications

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in business or science related field is required.
  • Minimum of 8 or more years selling specialty biologics, preferably Rare Disease, Ultra Orphan, Institutional Sales, or sales within the HemOnc/Pulmonology/Immunology space.
  • Experience working with a Mandatory Hub as well as a Reimbursement Team, is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with office-based selling and institutional based selling within newly developed markets and launching new “first in class” products is strongly encouraged.
  • Demonstrate a consistent track record of success (Top 20% performance). President’s Club or other top tier awards preferred.
  • Strong in depth clinical, technical, and scientific knowledge in complex disease state.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Highly self-motivated individual with evidence of strong work ethic
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends, as needed, for patient events (both in person and virtual)
  • Travel - 40% to 60% travel time required for the position where travel occurs locally within Ohio and regionally to other Academic Centers depending on the geography and business needs o fthe individual territory

Salary Range

 

Pharming takes into consideration a combination of candidate’s work experience, training, and education, as well as the scope of the role, complexity, and external market and internal value when determining a salary level.

 

The base salary range for this job is from $160,000 to $175,000 per year.
