Overview
Pharming is seeking to hire a Senior Manager, Market Access Analytics & Insights to act as the main point for all analytic needs of the Market Access team, which includes managed care, patient access, HEOR, and trade functions. Our goal is to have this role partner with key stakeholders within commercial operations to gain insight of market activity, sales performance, and key tactic impact. Successful execution will also involve maintaining strong relationships with external partners including experts in healthcare, technology platforms, and analytics experts. This role reports directly to the Director, Commercial Analytics. This is a hybrid role – must be able to report to the Warren, NJ office 2 to 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Manager, Market Access Analytics & Insights will be responsible for a wide variety of matters in support of Pharming’s growth as we increase the number of both pipeline and marketed products.
Core functions include:
- Generate and translate payer & provider analytics into growth opportunities and tactics that craft decisions and drive organizational action across US inline and future launch assets.
- Ensure regular tracking and reporting, supporting queries on specific managed markets-related issues.
- Actively monitor payer, PBM, competitor and market conditions to inform critical decisions and shape internal strategies.
- Help identify and build data and metric requirements– establishes relevant KPIs.
- Generate insights to advise US market access readiness launches including evaluating in-market analogs, launch pricing, payer/PBM utilization management, HCP/account economics (for example, white/brown bagging, buy-bill, etc.) and other related activities.
- Provide Analytical support for HEOR efforts.
- Identify optimal analytic approaches including critical supplier partners.
- Manage and collect payer invoice data used to estimate market share data.
- Conduct analog assessments, volume and geographic considerations, utilization management trends, customer and competitor intelligence gathering.
- Support Market Access team functions, including data infrastructure and reporting (RAD Team, NAM Team, RPA team and LASH Team).
- Work on all Hub/Trade/Patient Services related Data platforms, including transformative projects.
- Manage, process, and report on MMIT data, including the bridging file and all payer related data that may be captured in other sources (such as Symphony claims data, or 3rd party lab test data).
- Work on the integration of payer data and analytics to inform inline brand access challenges.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in biostatistics, economics, science, public health or a closely related quantitative field is required. Masters or Doctorate degree highly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years relevant experience within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry required.
Preferred Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of patient level data analytics.
- Experience with analytics, coding and management of administrative claims datasets, lab testing data, SP records and Hub registry data.
- Financial and business acumen including in-depth understanding of channel mix and gross-to-net/ASP.
- Understanding of various therapeutic areas (Specialty and/or Rare Disease experience preferred).
- Expertise in analytics for observational studies from design through conduct, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently,
- Experience with programming in major statistical analysis systems, such as SAS, SQL, R or Python.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong Excel skills, including VBA.
Travel Requirements
- 20% travel time required for the position where travel occurs locally or internationally.
Salary Range
Pharming takes into consideration a combination of candidate’s work experience, training, and education, as well as the scope of the role, complexity, and external market and internal value when determining a salary level.
The base salary range for this job is from $130,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year.
